The Shagohod is very well armoured everywhere except its back but the Shagohod never lets you get a clear shot at its back armour so what you have to do is fire a RPG rocket at one of the two threads at the front of the Shagohod. Once done properly the Shagohod will not be able to move and now Eva will circle around the Shagohod so you can fire another RPG rocket at its back armour. Keep repeating this process untill the Shagohod is destoyed.

The Shagohod is a crawling rocket-boosted tank with nuclear weapon launch capability. Unlike the later Metal Gears such as Metal Gear REX and Metal Gear RAY, the Shagohod is mainly a hovercraft with the rear section forming the bulk of the vehicle and carrying the ballistic missile acting as a hovercraft without a skirt.
